Pursuant to direction from
Government of Gujarat for
reorganization of the power sector
in the state, after unbundling of
erstwhile Gujarat Electricity Board,
Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited
came into existence on 15.09.2003.
The Company has obtained the
Certificate of Commencement of
Business on 15.10.2003. The Company
has, however, started commercial
function w.e.f. 1st April, 2005. The
Company is engaged in distribution
of electricity in 7 districts namely
Bharuch, Narmada, Surat (except part
of Surat City), Tapi, Dangs, Navsari
and Valsad in South Gujarat. The
Company has the vision of providing
customer satisfaction through
service excellence. DGVCL is
committed to achieve the goal of
providing reliable and quality power
at competitive cost and to reach
global standards in reducing
distribution losses. |
