DGVCL has successfully arranged program of "ડી.જી.વિ.સી.એલ આપના દ્વારે" under the leadership of Shri I Z Patel-Chief Engineer(O & M) at Rander as well as Kamrej ,wherein nearly 1200 consumers where attended and the work of change of name,meter change etc were completed on the spot. The program was a huge success and DGVCL plans for many such programs in other areas in near future.

DAKSHIN GUJARAT VIJ CO. LTD. has won the 6th ENERTIA Awards-2012 in the category of - Utilities and T & D Awards - "Best Performing Utility-State" for reduction in T & D Losses in Year 2011-12.

DGVCL has fully operationalized its centralized customer care center 24 X 7 at Surat with Toll free number 1800-233-3003.Any consumer of DGVCL can register their complaint regrading power supply,billing,accident etc and get feedback also.Besides consumer can also know the status of their application for new connection ,change of name as well as change of load applications .

In the first ever exercise carried out by Ministry of Power, New Delhi to grade all state distribution utilities for their financial and operational performance, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Co. Ltd. (DGVCL) has attained the FIRST ranking with HIGHEST score of 91.6%, amongst 39 utilities from 20 states.
