Introduction:-

e-Procurement is the process wherein in place of the physical tendering, activity is carried out online using the Internet and associated technologies. e-Procurement enables the user to introduce ease and efficiency without compromising the required procedures of the organization.

e-Procurement provides transparency, results in savings of time, money and tamperproof 100% secrete system shortening of procurement cycle, ease of operation to the implementing Organization and to the vendors. DGVCL have implemented e-Tendering Module. In future, supporting modules like catalogue Management, Online Prebid meeting, contract management, e-payment and MIS will be incorporated.

Since Aug – 2007, DGVCL is doing tender procedure through e-Procurement only.

In e-Procurement, vendors have to purchase e-token from the service provider like nCode solution, TCS etc…. DGVCL’s service provider is nCode solution. Vendor can access the site with the help of e-token and

can view, download and bid the tender online. Preliminary bid, Technical bid & Price bid of technically qualified bidders can be accessed online. The bidders don’t have to attend offices for tender procedure till placement of order. Bidder can view all the stages of opened bids from their end.
